12 Days of EdTechmas: Stash101 for Financial Literacy
We all know that the holidays is the time for family, friends, and of course – gift-giving. In the spirit of Christmas and the love for EdTech, I will be sharing with you 12 EdTech tools, apps, and websites that can surely help you this coming 2023. Day 8 of our 12 Days of EdTechmas is about Stash101, a tool for financial literacy. This tool was shared by author and fellow Google for Education Trainer, Eric Curts.
How Stash101 Can Help Learners Become Financially Literate
Stash101 is an excellent tool for learners to know about banking and investing. With its easy-to-use interface and comprehensive library of resources, Stash101 makes learning about banking and investing as simple as possible. With financial literacy as its primary goal for learners, Stash101 has various resources about effectively saving and earning money. Both educators and parents can use these resources to teach children about financial literacy.
What I like about Stash101 is its simulations. Stash101’s simulations allow users to understand how their investment decisions will play out in the real world by allowing them to make simulated investments and observe the market results in real-time. They also provide simulations about debt management, taxes, bills, and loans.
Founders Janessa and Tim designed Stash101 to be an immersive tool for students. The materials are designed for learners across all levels: from kindergarten to college. With interactive activities, Stash101 can provide students real-world simulations of debt management, taxes, bills, and loans. The goal of Stash101 is to ensure students have a basic understanding of personal finance and the ability to make informed decisions about their financial future.
Why Financial Literacy Matters
Financial literacy is an essential life skill that can empower individuals to make sound financial decisions. With a fundamental understanding of personal finance, individuals can avoid costly financial mistakes. This is why resources such as Stash101 exist—to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage their finances responsibly. By providing tools and guidance to help manage their finances, Stash101 ensures that students are better prepared for the financial challenges ahead.
That is it for the Day 8 of our 12 Days of EdTechmas featuring Stash101, a tool for financial literacy. If you wish to know more about Stash101, visit their website site now and sign up for an account for free.

Hi Abby! Thanks for sharing about ClassEquity. I was not aware that Stash101 is shutting down. Hope more platforms such as these are made available for learners.
